I have a saddle from a Cannondale cyclocross bike that a friend gave to me, and have been using this on the commuter.

The first week or two it was torture, really, it was not pleasant. I had the saddle setup like all my saddles before it, with the nose dropped a bit. Was about to trash it, then stopped mid ride and leveled up the nose, my word what a difference this has made to the comfort on the bike.

I assume you played with your saddle setup?

Well it's the saddle that came with the bike (bought second hand) and I've just left it how it came. The positioning feels right when I ride but I needed something with more cushioning. Back in 2012 when I rode Argus on my "fancy" Giant SCR, I had some hard as nails Fizik that my backside could handle.

I think I'll set the new saddle up more or less the same as where the old one is setup. I'll play around when I get home.

I second that.

I have also found that sometimes just a centimetre forward or back can also make a huge difference.

Edit: This is especially true on the road bike where you sit basically in the same position for long periods. On the Mtbike you move around a lot more so it seems not to matter quite as much.

Like I said, mine has seen a beating .... you not storing yours next to your table saw by any-chance and maybe messed some coffee on their due to posts from the Bike Hub threads :P

Lol its entirely possible. I often face the peril of the stinging nostrils when I read through the threads on here while sipping my morning cuppa.

What annoys me even more is that Im in IT and I cant fix the damn things! feature/design wise its hard to beat logitech so I wish they would just play along nicely.
