Dirtbreath Posted November 6, 2012 Share 1. Can you take EPO as a recreational cyclist competing in a weekend race? Should they test you because you came 400th not your normal 500th would you be disqualified. 2. Would you take EPO as a middle to back of the pack rider in a stage race to give you a boost (are there social riders in the Epic etc using the stuff just to get through)? HappyMartin Posted November 6, 2012 Share Its banned. Simple. To use it is cheating. Why not give training a try. You never know. It just might work Mads, Wayne Potgieter, T_Boss and 16 others

Any person willing to risk death for that has bigger things to worry about than disqualification - like having no brain..for instance or suicidal tendancies... Cav' Posted November 6, 2012 Share It's not as easy as taking a Berocca in the AM. The stuff is dangerous if not taken exactly as indicated. Im sure loads of non pro cyclists use it. - I won't
DJR Posted November 6, 2012 Share If anybody wants to take EPO to better their Argus position from 21 589 to, let's say, 18 367, then they are just plain stupid and deserve to have a blood clot and drop dead from it be chucked out of cycling forever. Chopper Jr Posted November 6, 2012 Share Well no one deserves to drop dead from it... But a mate told me that he discovered some of his team mates at DC were taking EPO, and we're talking about complete amateurs - absolute shocker!!Reminds me of the juice heads that suddenly puff up a week before H2O! Absolutely clueless!
DJR Posted November 6, 2012 Share Also on the banned list.Apparently in olden days (Boer War era) the Boers fed their horses some dagga with their lucern to improve their endurance. Perhaps it is good for human endurance also, but I can't see it improving the competitive spirit at all.

Oh the days when it was legal.. makes you wonder if a cop would stop you and impound the horse?
