OK this is the last I'll say here:

I agree with what you say, we're on the same page. Patience definitely is a virtue and we'd all live in a much happier world if folks would just chill out a bit. But we've still got to deal with this attitude of cyclists who think they can go around town side by side in bunches, giving everyone who complains the middle finger. It's just not ok. I take it personally because their actions are making my life harder and putting me in danger because the next person that enraged motorist sees further down the road might be me.

Thats why I prefer to take the law into my own hands periodically.

Pull over in front of him, alight the vehicle, and show him the error in his ways. TEACH him why exactly NOT to do it again.

Patience, what's that?

Lekka handbag fight on Reconciliation Day.

At OP:

Bear more patience when riding in your car.

It is a weapon of mass destruction.

How about submitting a formal complaint to NC?

I'm in agreement - the OP is actually the worse transgressor here - white lines are there for a reason; if another car had crested the hill and hit him head on, two drivers and probably half of the cyclists would have been wiped out. Exceptionally irresponsible. Actually plain damn dumb.

Now this Alex or Neil or Neil, long-haired or short, Russian accented or whatever: he probably looked behind him and thought, "There's a tjop here in a car who is going to attempt overtaking on a blind rise," or he looked ahead and thought, "There's a fat pothole that everyone's going to hit - go right," or he thought, "There are times when it's necessary for the cyclist to own the lane, such as turning right at intersections, to ensure that they're clearly seen."

Alex and Neil are two different individuals. Both have hub profiles, latter has not been here in a few years...

My, oh my... the wild west! Take law in own hands to teach those who take law in own hands a lesson by own hands!!! Cowboys, re-unite! Find a tree, bring a rope! Only certain people (hubbers) have the right to transgress (all in the name of the law, apparently!)

Actually, we SO need a dislike function (and a threshold limit) on posters/posts!

I think it would have been better to resolve it there and then. 6 pages of whooohaaa. Like that will change anything? Like The Hub closed a bike shop? Cycle Lab is bigger than it ever was. Cajees sells more bikes than you fools imagine. Marco Swart assaults customers on a daily basis. Now you want to start with NC. Bla bla bla.

Isn't it a shame that so much of the cycling lanes in the cradle are littered with broken glass . . . . . :-(

And "run-off" sand from drive-ways, and ... runners whistling.gif
