Well then Cannondale have failed me - excuse the pun !!

I have had 6 Dales - 2 road and 4 MTB and according to Wyatt Earp I should have experienced some form of failure - but nothing, nix, nada, although I no longer own all of them I still know the owners and they are still going strong.

So - I have been robbed, where are my cracks and fails ?

Sarcasm is really not easily detected in this thread.

I was joining red whatever on the same boat.

Let's not forget how it all started.

HelpMe liked it too, maybe they can provide facts.

To start off with your friend should not have bought a crap bike.

its a brand with the industries highest crack list

And then as if we are not making a big enough knob of ourselves, they follow it through here.

Folow the post: if you buy crap, expect crap backup

Funny thread - back on topic. I'd say that the OP's mate has a legitimate gripe with Spez. No matter what you pay you should get decent service and warranty response from the manufacturer. Their response is a crock so far. Scratches on the fork mean a crash - muppets! If I were him I'd issue them with a fomal letter of demand and keep hammering at them, failing which you could sue them for breach of the warranty.

Nothing wrong with Specialized warranty. Found a crack on my frame just before Sani. Had my new frame shipped from Europe within 4 days!!!!!

I think the LBS and the way they handle the warranty claim has a big impact on the result at the end of the day.

Look at this bike.

Really look at it. I bet you even if it cracks, it cracks in a sexy way that makes me think of custard.

Not as pretty as this one.
