kandui Posted January 18, 2014 Share A friend of mine was robbed at Kleinplasie last night or early this morning. Details still a bit vague, he sent me a Twitter message. Will hear more when he's finished the race. Anybody else robbed as well?

kandui Posted January 18, 2014 Share I clicked on the Live Stream link on the Attakwas website. I'm sorry, but the girl holding the mike is terrible! Did she not have to do a screen test? She's clearly not prepared herself for the interviews and can't formulate her questions properly. It makes the product seem so unprofessional. two hands

Brian Fantana Posted January 18, 2014 Share The weather was perfect. My RD cable snapped 20km from the end, so I gooied 2 gears for the rest of the ride. Did 7:32. With the little training I have done and the 13.5kg trail bike I pedalled up those climbs, I am quite happy with my result!! On my way to Plett now. Definitely going to pour a few beers down my throat later. Edited January 18, 2014 by Brian Fantana TALUS, ChUkKy, SwissVan and 3 others
kandui Posted January 18, 2014 Share My mate was first Master across the line. A good time was the goal, winning the category an added bonus. At prize giving the category got nothing though. Weren't even called up. What's up with that? Organisers "enter" you in the Masters due to your age, but give everyone else prizes and not the Geezers. What's the point of the category then, would be my question? Come on Carel! If you don't have the prizes to give to the Old Boys, let me know for next year. Table Mountain Bikers will put something together for them. G e r h a r d Odendaal Posted January 18, 2014 Share   Big mistake that. I used a 33/18 and could have used a 19.If you think you are going to need speed for those district roads on a bigger gear, think again. Guys riding 1 x 11 , I suggest a 32t upfront..... G e r h a r d Odendaal Posted January 18, 2014 Share Matt Beers 10th SA rider, 16th overall. Just turned 20, 1st ever ultra-marathon and this can't be much more than his 5th ever mtb race. We rode with Matt Beers in the "Hell and Back" race in November 2013. He's an awesome rider, he came 1 st on day 1 and 2. My son came in 9th at the age of 16. Was a hard race, rain and mud.
