geomark Posted November 5, 2013 Share Found a stripped full carbon Eddy Merckx time trial bike in the bush along the Avianto mountain bike route this morning. Sadly has been stripped of all but tri bars and wheels. Avianto management was sending someone out to pick it up and hold it at Avianto, so contact them if its yours. MTB_Roadie Posted November 5, 2013 Share Im also thinking that...tires not even glued on...no casette but wheel is there? Normal person would have taken the wheels also....seatpost is gone? A beaut of a bike though.

the nerd Posted November 5, 2013 Share So the perps had their handy crank puller, cassette tool and chain whip with them as well as their array of allen keys and screw drivers to take the cheapest parts of this specific bike off and leave it in the bush? Hmmmm Im with you guys this screams fraud... dave c

geomark Posted November 5, 2013 Share Also surprised that the wheels and bars still there.... as has been said... could be an interesting story!!Guess my first impression when I found it was that no one riding a "normal" bike is going to be interested in tubbies and R700 punctures and probably no idea what the aero wheels were worth. Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted November 5, 2013 Share Hmmm.. This? Not seen many around.http://www.thehubsa....ime-trial-bike/Â Different wheels. Check the cutout on the disc, and then the section of the front is too big...
