Spokey, when will you be back? I was thinking of doing a trip to Swartberg and Prince Alfred's Pass and environs and thought perhaps a catchup may be possible.

Out of interest, we may have a project out in PA later in the new year ... already been looking at the ride options to the town :P

EDIT: Scratch that ... Prince Albert, not Alfred

That would be awesome but I am only home end of Feb next year now. I have 5 days at Christmas but have family down from Josie.

For starters it would be foam and not paper but other than that I pass. I'm no expert on that.

Negative. I have seen "fiber like" washable air filters for Harleys.

Sort of like this

DNA filter for my KLR looks like this make up, just oval conical if get my meaning. The kit comes with a special cleaning fluid but I just use Clean Green though I rinse it well. I do use the DNA filter oil though. My KTM 690 has a TwinAir foam unit, washed the same way but I use Motorex Spray oil on that.

So I am not trying to say that a HD is a tractor, but...........https://www.muttonpower.com/product/2832/john-deere-air-filter-m47494

Nah, my air filter does not look like that one ... only the posers on the Harley's use that type.

Just bought a new filter now on the way home from site, the fabric is a "fibrous" type material, but is a "dry" filter unlike the K&N types.

R493.90 for a new filter, not sure if this is expensive compared to other brands, of a fair price. Does not really matter to me, my bike will be happy I am treating her well.
