It's disappointing to me that people that are into bikes are not commenting on the TT........

That is akin to being disappointed if mountain bikers do not comment on the Epic racing.

I have been following religiously and have the TT tv pass. Dunlop is a legend.

have my ticket booked for 2026, here’s hoping the weather is better than this year.

absolutely love the IOM , would have gone to the classic this year but my old man is out here for a week so that torpedoed that idea. Next year TT and year after the classic I reckon.

Yes, you do. For a petrolhead and motorcyclist it is the epitome of racing. It’s incredible what these men do. ( and women).

I have ridden the course and in one or 2 places even at the speed limit it’s a lil hairy. Never mind flat out. And it’s a Lekker vibe on the island. Thousands of like minded individuals.

just an anecdote from the last time I went. I stayed at a camp site and they had limited electrical plugs so the owner of the site had installed rows of plugs in the canteen area. Folks plugged in their mobile phones etc and left them there for the day. There were 20 or 25 mobile phones at any given time. Not a single incident. As it should be I guess.

at the fan zone I was in the queue to buy beer. In front of me was Michael Dunlop. He is much smaller in stature than you realise and took me a minute to clock him. We spoke briefly. Quiet, unassuming guy and I offered to buy him a beer. He said no thanks as he was buying for his crew as well and didn’t want to burden me with that cost. A living legend. unlike the prima Donna’s in F1 and MotoGP.

It does not have to be an expensive exercise, most days we went to a supermarket and bought food to make ourselves and beer so you don’t spend too much buying from vendors. The ferry and campsite cost me around 200 last time. Next year it will be about 250 but going for more nights.

Price dependent, I see no logical or rational decision not to. These are stonking motors.

Had to defer on that ZZR1200, work being done at home putting a garage door on my enclosed carport to stash some of my bikes. Building a hard stand for my bike trailer too, also freeing up a little space. However, checking weekly on the bike…….if there at month end I may pull the trigger.
I have stumbled across an interesting Honda for my collection, a CX500 Turbo. Looks stunning but nothing I had ever thought of!

I have been watching a bit on Uchoob. One channel was just too much talking, another had shitty music instead of bike noise. Will see if I can find some better content. Super glad Peter Hickman is in one piece albeit a bit battered and bruised.

There’s a chap selling the Suzuki equivalent locally. XN85.
