Me - I don't get it. Post race clean up up or not it's not a big deal putting the empty wrapper back in your pocket or trying to throw the bottles out in designated trash zones.

 

The real impact on the environment is not really an issue I just don't enjoy the "toss it when you're done with it" approach in any race. TdF or not.

This is a perfect example of a wonderful and very true alternate view that is perfectly acceptable and can be debated constructively.

 

Edit: the reason I say this is because it goes against our social norm/convention and it is SUPPOSED to piss us off when somebody breaks the norm/convention. Its evolution, we are programmed to not like it.

You would think with all the big sponsors etc and large portion of society that seems to denounce damaging the environment that it would still be acceptable in 2015?

Maybe because the sponsors gets MORE marketing from the bottles being tossed than kept?

Maybe because in the pro peleton it is not seen as "littering"?

Loads of cyclist passing my house daily.  Must say never had this problem....

Must be only you.  :rolleyes:

Just consider yourself lucky you dont live in the Cradle or you could have a cyclist peeing on your lawn

Or even riding through your lawn (as has happened to me - yip I live in the cradle!
