anyone connected their strava profile to relive? Its quite cool - you get a little video of each of your runs....every now and then I check them out. I joined after my mate showed me his comrades one

This is a very cool little video. I would love to use it on some of the more scenic runs.

Can one download and save the video, or is it only for online watching?

I've been using Asics (mostly the GT ranges) for ages, but want to change things a bit.

I eventually want to have 3-4 paires of shoes (different brands if possible), to mix during a week.

Any suggestions for higher milage running that is similar to the Asics? NB/Adidas/Saucony/etc.

Any suggestions would be great, and will chat to running shop as well

So my Ascis Nimbus 19's as well will probably need replacing in the next month or so and do not particularly want to buy another pair, anyone had experience with the Asics DynaFlyte? https://runrepeat.com/asics-dynaflyte

I have always run in Asics for now am considering sticking with the brand and the Dynalyte's seem to score highly https://runrepeat.com/ranking/rankings-of-asics-running-shoes?arch_support=Neutral&terrain=Road

For interest sake.   Has anyone tried Hoka's?   I see they are available here.    Is there substance to the big hype around them ore is it just an American thing again?

I have Hoka Clifton 3's, and Challenger ATR 3's - which is essentially the same shoe but ATR with more trail sole.

I've been looking for wider forefoot shoes, so it was between 4E Asics and trying Hoka's. I've always liked something different so went with the gimmicky ones.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hoka's. they're very light and (obviously) very cushioned. They just look a bit silly. I'll probably stick with them.

They actually look quite wide yes?

They're actually not as wide as they look. The foam sticks out quite a bit which gives them a larger appearance. I also laced them differently to make them fit better. I'd still call them a wider 'normal' shoe. I couldn't find 4E's in my size so I haven't been able to compare the two.

 Hoka Clifton 3's

"Johan Vd Merwe Baie sag en lekker lig. Ek kry meer as 2000km op n stel. Ek dink die Clifton's kos R 2 450.00 se koers. Neslis waarde vir geld Leon."

"sopas n paar by Durban runners gekoop, R2095.00,dankie."

I've done 450km on mine and they still feel rock solid. Although the tread is starting to wear away on the corner I land on (uber heel striker) so while I think the structure will hold up to at least 1000, the sole won't.

2000 is madness, he must weigh nothing.

Been on the injury bench with runners knee since the weekend, apparently running laps on northcliff koppie for 30km wasn't the best life decision.

Rest, Ice, Yoga and rock climbing till it sorts itself out...

Hopefully can be training again soon, 100Miler!

The stress of a 90 degree turn in my life at the ripe old age of 42 is clearly impacting me more than I anticipated. My HR when running is a good 20-30% higher than normal.. making running very difficult at the moment. But.. I'm persevering because it is also making me sane while running!

so how is everyone's training going?

Who else is still on the injury bench?

Went for my second road run last night after Comrades and I started cramping after 2kms...I have never experienced this before... I felt very sorry for myself as I stopped after 5km.

Training is definitely not going as planned for July... Feeling useless at the moment and not sure if I will be able to run a 21km in Aug. Working hours and stress are also not helping.
