Hi Cotic fans!

Anybody running a 130mm RS Revelation on a Cotic Solaris/Simple?

Can't find a 120mm and my 100mm is due an upgrade...

After thinking about a bit more, put a 45 mm stem on the Solaris with the 740 mm bars.  It has made the bike more agile through tight corners, and made it easier for drop offs.

Cheers - maybe I just need to get used to the frame a bit more with the longer TT than my old one.

Build that frame up - best all purpose bike you will ever ride. From 94.7 to the Spruit you can ride it all! Mine dressed in old school XT with a Richey road crank and continental cyclocross race tubeless does it all in its stride

Thinking of getting a new fork for my Solaris too.

32mm and 9mmQR means its basically a noodle when I plough through rock gardens with my weight behind it

You reckon a 120 mm Yari would be overkill? Otherwise X Fusion Trace perhaps?

Its nice having a light fork, but think I want stiffness and burliness now

140mm Pike.... no question

I've got the older frame -  100 mm recommended, 120 mm max.

Doubt you will feel the difference normally - until you have a big hit.

Pulled the trigger and installed a Revelation on the Cotic.

Definitely a LOT stiffer than my RS 100mm QR straight steerer model.

Only done one run on it, but it is super plush on the downs. Climbing feels the same. I didn't measure the BB height prior, but it looks and feels higher, so no pedal strikes in future.

It does seem slightly slower through the tight bends. Quick right and left is no longer as quick, but I suppose this is due to the longer wheelbase.

Running the fork @ 130mm. Might have to drop it to 120mm but will give it a chance to settle in.
