Veebee Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 With just about 4 months to go to Shova, now is the time to get cracking with the diet and training. This last month was a write off for me, so I am also going to get on track from tomorrow. 95 at the moment, and will be aiming for 10kg loss in 16 weeks.
King_Crispy Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I think I just twigged. The way to keep the weight off is to get your metabolism going properly. My metabolism has been in reverse for the past 5 months with me doing little/no training. I need to get it going soon and then hopefully shed the handles which are developing

You must know then what a battle it is when you are approaching your 69th Birthday. I eat like a sparrow and although I ride and do core and upper body stuff 4-5 times a week in the mornings, it takes forever to loose a tiny amount of weight. The aim this year was to hit 80Kg before my birthday at the end of June , it looks like I will miss it unless I do something drastic like fast entirely for a week.
Cois Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I am no longer thinking that I need to lose weight. I now know that I need to drastically reduce my weight. I am not sure on the weight I am on now, but I am sure it must be north of 90KG's. I got on the spinning bike last night to test the pedals and to make sure that everything was working. And after 10 minutes I could no more. Ended up with a splitting headache and shaking legs. At least sugar is no problem, but the nasty hidden sugars can still get me. Especially those hidden in Chocolate. Dark chocolate with 5kg sugar per bar? I just need one more click to enter the Nissan Hazeldean 40km ride, but have another prior arrangement on the same day, so kinda in two minds on what to do... Go cycle 5 km away from home, or go to Bronkhorstspruit to cycle with the family.

Fluctuating between 106 & 108 and just not shifting. Constant in and out of well structured eating and exercise thanks to the old excuse - "Not enough TIME" Bullshaite. Not enough time se moer. That 20 minutes I'm waiting for dinner to cook? Go for an HIIT session in the driveway. That's just 10 minutes. Spend the next 10 doing bodyweight training. Sick & bloody tired of looking at my old clothes and wondering when I'll be able to fit in them again. It starts now. I'm properly pissed off with myself.

V12man Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Someone just dropped off a bag of Krispy Kreme doughnuts on my desk.... F......K... bye bye good intentions for the day
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 That is what I keep on telling myself LOL. And as first order of business yesterday, I made lunches for the week. Brown rice, roast chicken breast with marsala spices and a home made roast red pepper & tomato sauce (no added sugar, just butter, onions, garlic & oven roasted red peppers & tomatoes) Colleague walked past my desk and said "smells like Primi over here... What is that?"

Veebee Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Carbs... carbs is my problem. It is difficult to be on a low carb vegan plan. While soya, beans, lentils etc etc have a good protein value, they are also high in carbs. I need to probably change to a more plant based type diet to really see a big difference.
