does anyone on this forum live in CT and use a gunwarrior chassis for their rifle? I really like them online but would like to actually hold one and get the feel for it before I go out and buy one.

Found it!

This was shot very long ago, in a different time and a previous life, with one of those BSAs. I can't help wonder why I kept it all those years?

Kept it because it says "50/50 Mooi!"

Also, I think, because there were far fewer of those full scores than my muddled memory leads me to think. :)

A bit of history there.

I thought this would be the appropriate thread to ask as I'm sure it won't venture into some leftist/liberal gun discussion.

Anyone have any experience with blank/pepper guns?

Although it says no license required you would need a license to be able to buy the ammo as gun powder and primers are listed in the firearms control act as something you require a license for.

I am not entirely sure, but it might be something to consider. Another thing you might want to consider is what would happen if your attackers wielding an actual firearm or knife realise that you have what can essentially be described as a toy?

I don't want to deter you from trying to protect yourself whilst out riding, I want you to think about what could happen. If you are willing to carry while riding why not apply for a firearm license? a Glock 43 would be a good carry weapon for self-defence. Just be aware that if you decide to carry that you are committed to actually use it should the need arise.

Rather carry a proper firearm if you decide to carry. This will just piss them off more if you use it. What will happen if the perps have a proper firearm?

BAD idea!!!

Long story short gun powder and primers are licensed items. You cannot keep, store, carry or buy these without a valid licence for the specific caliber, and by doing so can get you into loads of issues!

Furthermore lets say for argument sake you hold a 9mm licence and can legally buy ammo, primers and powder for it, these are no more use than an airsoft pistol with blowback function for training.

Totally agree with everything you said.

I also wouldn't suggest using this at close range(which would probably be the case while out riding?), I have suffered the effects of being close and down wind of someone testing something similar to this, I think I coughed for a week.

thanks for the comments guys.

I know that owning the "ammo" for this is a bit grey, just wanted some comments regarding actual use of the pepper pistol.

I'm keen on getting something non-lethal, and no I won't take a pee shooter to a gun fun i.e. the idea was not not take this out against a moegoe with a gun. Thankfully around here most incidents only involve knives and sticks.

Regarding getting a proper self-defence fire arm the search has already been narrowed down to a beretta nano 9mm as I don't like the feel of the G27 (or 43 for that matter)

If you are wanting a sub-compact have a look and feel for S&W M&P Shield 9.

I am biased but really like the sights on the M&P
