Not too sure which thread is best to post this.

So our Wahoo Kickr 4 power belt split in half... the rubber just came apart... no funny business by me or the kids.

Wahoo does not replace these belts which doesn't seem logical to me!

Has anyone experienced this or know if it is worth sourcing a belt from E.g. https://za.rs-online.com/web/c/mechanical-power-transmission/belts-pulleys/timing-belts/

I don't think the Kickr 4 Power belt has teeth - very hard to find details on this belt.

Other option would be to find a 'dead' Kickr 4 and take that power belt.

Pretty frustrating experience!! How can we get our kids to Pro level ;)

Question - with which platforms does the Kickr Core work ?

Any suggestions on ways to have a resistance based training with the Wahoo Kickr ?   The classic 2 minutes at X watt, then 1 minute at a higher resistance .....

When I bought it used Zwift for a few years.

Briefly tried MyWhoosh ... just to heavy on the PC ... buffering takes all the fun out of it.

Trainer Road was nice .... seems this is no longer available without a subscription ....

My use of the indoor trainer has evolved over the years.  From the interactive road rides with others I now only use a short resistance based session as a warm up to other exercises (leaving actual cycling for outside)

Paying a subscription for these short warm up sessions is an overkill for what I want.

Why dont you use your garmin to control what you want from it if its only for warmup.

How ?

This is why I am asking the question.  When I got the Kickr I immediately went the Zwift route.  Really dont know what other options there are for "just variable resistance" training.

Before doing a deep dive into google, hopefully the Hub community can provide some input on what alternative apps/options have worked for them.

The Garmin device need to have "ANT+ Trainer Control (FE-C)" to control the trainer.  If has this functionality, you can create your workouts in Garmin Connect, upload to your Garmin device, and do the workout.

Replacement belt overseas https://eu.wahoofitness.com/devices/indoor-cycling/parts-components/kickr-belt-power-grip

I believe this is the equivalent https://za.rs-online.com/web/p/timing-belts/1755243?cm_mmc=ZA-PLA-DS3A-_-google-_-PLA_ZA_EN_Pneumatics_And_Hydraulics_And_Power_Transmission-_-Power_Transmission_Belts|Timing_Belts-_-PRODUCT_GROUP&grossPrice=Y&matchtype=&pla-391973076366=

You can also check with BMG who sell the gates belts https://bmgworld.net/bmg/en/ZAR/All-Categories/Power-Transmission/Drive-Belts/Timing/Metric/c/E40101?q=%3Arelevance%3Abrand%3AGates

On your garmin head unit/watch,  under sensors connect your kickr as an indoor trainer.  Create workouts in garmin connect, or finalsurge or intervals.icu and send to your garmin. Then can select workout and your garmin will control the kickr in ERG mode

I'm just trying to find out (without opening the Kickr) if that is the correct belt as higher models are more silent because of NO GROVES. V4 is 2018.

I just found this post so a multi-groove belt is needed. E.g. https://www.ebay.com/itm/405655436004?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D283843%2C284015%2C284136%26meid%3Dafe74c8aa1ce4596a5b2a0dadeb338a1%26pid%3D101875%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D196383856039%26itm%3D405655436004%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DSimVIDwebV3WithCPCExpansionEmbeddingSearchQuerySemanticBroadMatchSingularityRecallReplaceKnnV4WithVectorDbNsOptHotPlRecall%26brand%3DUnbranded%2FGeneric&_trksid=p2332490.c101875.m1851&itmprp=cksum%3A405655436004afe74c8aa1ce4596a5b2a0dadeb338a1|enc%3AAQAKAAABcHKEKKNMUePryBh1zZl0qrjonWK6%2Bbjh8v6%2FxTRbw1Loxqx736BoO2V7ozv6W4xuOBJjwGhPLWk9lnRB2teM6PFgOrZGVcTwpTth7MW79p066SWQrB1VasW1Di58xl1RMBXsH%2BaNxpzil0t8bdqbPkgJlZgvtHVYNSkxo5xG%2Bq21%2BZ7iLPlXBUopfGjDHni8osu7ZIFSpriEWDx2uDErqkYIodseU73Wz8oHpQMk9nAk5JXOlexFdXqj0g1fj3dMJgBUS0hL0EBEZTC%2FMngJAf7zy1RkQCcxk%2BApf7U%2FcGrbrMZWgKOalZd79jfOvKE%2Fb5wUR6Ah5o3xaoC%2BNd5%2FO%2FxReGWUA9DHAk%2Buisu%2FdTOcRigpVJK%2FKHpwwtyEtSoLthjNee6qT59YSXYGzHYN8aTFitfAfn4yf0b9mAW%2BwsPwdeaUrEIenwXwwNWruXPcRYHAjIQqnz%2FFKvJU%2FtPLhoV9XcFudDPhyo1OPj%2FPhv30|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2332490&itmmeta=01JRJH5W6HP18XWYPDG9Y3ACMC
