BigDL Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 LA is a psychopath and your reaction is exactly what he wants to get from people. Very unhealthy little boy our Lance, still fighting all the ghosts. Not a nice person. Again he has managed to inveigle his way back in to the sport because he is guaranteed to stir up controversy so a media outlet will of course use him knowing this. He has done irreparable damage to the sport with his lying, cheating and bullying as well as effectively racketeering. Remind me why we should be listening to him again?Because he knows what he is talking about.

He is a wanker. I'm NOT here to convince you that you should listen to him at all. I'm saying that disliking somebody doesn't mean that they don't know what they are talking about.

I'm saying that disliking somebody doesn't mean that knew don't know what they are talking about. He is indeed a wanker. He has some valid points mixed in with some opinion which is probably there to stoke the controversy fire.I just battle to listen to him for more than a minute or two without wanting to punch my screen. I have no idea why he gets me so worked up though, must just be that moer gesig he has.
Jurgens Smit Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I can understand not liking LA for what he did, but shouldn't we dislike Merckx, Pantani et al as well then? They did just as much damage to the sport, yet countries regard them as heroes instead of villains Just a tiny bit hypocritical IMO from all the keyboard warriors to hate LA
Vetplant Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Lets rather talk about the current crop of riders competing in the Tour instead of debating whether a Vlogger needs to be recognised for his opinion? Some will appreciate his opinion, others won't. Plenty of time in the rest of the year to debate that, but we only have 3 weeks of the Tour. I'll start: Can you believe nobody has appealed the silly small sanction that Bouhanni got for is intentional fist, c'mon MAN! Sagan was a precedent, we accepted that, now they ought to folow through along the same lines. What are the chances of a Peloton justice for him if the crosswinds come?

Want to follow you lead and not get sucked into the LA non event, but comparing Merckx and Pantani with him? Really! Anyway, back to the point ... Booh never makes the line during windy sections when the real heat is on, so he's team will look after him, no one else will bother.

Paul Ruinaard Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 If you didnt have double standards and controversy in the TdF it wouldnt be worth watching and wouldnt get the media attention and headlines. Its like Formula 1 under Bernie and up till now - Vettel and Hamilton makes for views and clicks as did Senna and Prost and Lauda and Hunt. Anyway, I reckon Sagan was like the above - basically he was victim of over enthusiastic officials with premature tour ejection syndrome (often happens with officials in blazers and over inflated opinions of their importance) who now having cocked it up properly and diminished the media interest in the tour by removing the most popular and skilled cyclist in the world, have now decided to think twice about rash sanctions. So if Boo hoo hoo hani had moered someone on day 2 or 3 he would also be on the sidelines right now as they were going to make an example of someone to show how powerful they are. The officiating is always random and subjective. When the viewership is down stir up some sh*t to get people interested. This is a show after all. The media circus around TdF is massive. It just happens to be about a bike race.... But yes Lance knows about cycling. However that is like saying Hitler would make a great news analyst as he knew a lot about wars.
Pah Bear Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Pee on him in the cross winds? Now, now. Such things tend to splash on Froomy. We can't have that now can we.
bertusras Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 What are the chances of a Peloton justice for him if the crosswinds come? I think there's a simpler way to do this. In the one corner we've got the colossal Kiwi, Jack "Attack" Bauer, weighing in at 77 kilos and standing six foot three inches tall, and in the other corner we've got the feisty Frenchman, Nacer "Boohoo" Bouhanni, weighing in at 66 kilos and a mere five foot eight inches. Will the towering height be an advantage to the hit show 24 hero's namesake, or will the ability to duck and run away favour the Frenchie. Only time will tell. Let's get ready to rumble!!!
Pure Savage Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Now, now. Such things tend to splash on Froomy. We can't have that now can we. Back to the crosswinds today, I reckon that the Lotto Soudal team with Griepel will be licking their lips, those boys love cross winds and a bit of suffering.

kosmonooit Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 You are fully entitled to listen to LA, but why pollute this public space? Some of us loathe him: he is a psychopathic liar, a cheat, an abuser of trust etc etc
