DSTv stepped up...

MSR live from 10h30-18h30...

Brilliant, thanks for the heads up. About bloody time!!

I've been mailing them and went on my own little campaign on how slack they have been with coverage compared to previous years. Maybe my twitter "abuse" helped a bit  ;)

Mathieu went very deep in the red with his breakaway in the wet and cold last weekend.

Alaphilippe and Wout, I reckon

I have a soft spot for Mads; not sure he can explode up the Poggio though

A surprise may come from Trentin or that Aussie guy called Bling

I'm still a Wout fan.  Would be nice to see him getting one back on MvP.

Two of them holding off the chase, Wout Winning, Bling/Bennett taking 3rd in the bunch behind.

Day made

The hardest race to predict

A GC specialist won it a few seasons ago on a Merida.

Sagan had 8 top 10 appearances in 10 outings

Kawasaki, a domestique and puncher outwitted Sagan and Alaphilipe

Kristoff and Degenkolb won it too. (shall not mention DeMare)

Alaphilippe too.

MSR, you beauty.

Fascinating this... considering all the permutations. my thoughts are that anyone going to the line in a break with any of the top 3 will be aiming at being fresh as a daisy when they get there and will back their sprint against a fatigued JA/MvA/VDP. Then again, a fatigued VDP can honk out 1300W, so there's that. And JA has that wicked mobile-chicane-move, so always dangerous there. And WvA can seemingly claw his way onto any wheel, and can probably claw his way away from any wheel too.

I doubt the big 3 will get to the line alone, but if they did...

Although we've seen a fatigued MVDP blow up ala the UK Worlds...

But, we are witnessing an era of cycling talent that we haven't seen in a loooong time.  Super super, super exciting!!

Just like that.

S agan’s quote about that day.

’Milan-San Reno is a cool race. I came second there in 2013 in a sprint from a little group when Fabian Cancellara and I concentrated on each other too much and got caught out by that wily German sprinter Gerald Ciolek.’ ~ page 203, My World.

I’ll go with the big guys marking each other, and an underdog sneaking the win.
