have you ever tried to motorpace back into the bunch after a crash ?

I promise you Tom was chilling at 280w in the bunch while pogi was doing 550w to try to get back (Also I didn't see him behind any car).

Wout I saw behind a car not looking like he was peddling, but he didn't win did he ?

Anyways, I was so certain that Pidcock was either going to smoke him in the decent or in the sprint, he looked so good following every attack. Incredible ride from him and even more incredible ride from Tadei, even by his standards ! Also, whatever McNulty is getting paid, they must double his salary, unbelievable how he brought the bunch back on his own, then went to the front of the bunch mid climb, then put everyone in the hurt box (including Del Toro that did a 15secs attack and disappeared). AND HE STILL FINISHED just seconds behind Tadei wtf... this guy in an absolute motorbike

I know it's easy to comment from the couch but the only small mistake that Pidcock made was that he was on the right and possibly momentarily blocked when launching. Was hoping that Doug Ryder would have another MSR winner after Ciolek all those years ago.

Refering to Pog's wheel as motorpacing...

Pog is a cheat code. The mental ability to come back from hitting the deck so hard at that stage of the race is beyond me...

Yip, plan A clearly went out the window when he crashed , perhaps he would have been “fresher” had it not been for the required effort to get back?
Might have made for a different finish from his side , but all is well that ends well I guess, will go down as one of the great monument finishes.

And the Argus?? 🤭

I think he realises that he needs to up his form quite a bit if he wants to compete in the World Fun Riding Championship

E3 tomorrow 😈

Meanwhile, such a great look at Laporte’s walk through the valley of desolation after his illness ordeal in 2025

E3:

The last 30 kms was just sublime with the hounds chasing the rabbit in MVDP and closing in within 5 bike lengths of him.

60th Road win for the man on the Canyon; 3rd consecutive win at this race. And the most aggressive rider’s prize.

Gotta love the Cobbled Classics 🪦
