  This sort of thing is happening far too often...one of the reasons is that our laws are too lenient and or there is not enough ability or will to investigate these incidents and prosecute.

And they say Cape Town is one of the 15 top friendly cycling cities in the world

""Cape Town is one of the 15 most bike-friendly destinations in the world, according to a CNN feature on 15 cities around the world “where drivers use all five fingers when they wave at you”.

I personally rode on that road last weekend, so this incident hits home.

Speedy recovery to the injured cyclist and RIP to those that passed

This is so sad and what makes it worse is that I was at the scene when they were waiting for the ambulance. although he was in pain it did not look to me as if his injuries were life threatening. Sadly how wrong I was! I pray that God will comfort hold and give his family friends and colleagues strength during this difficult time!RIP fellow cyclist. May this incident be a reminder to everyone that in the blink of a second our lives can be cut short on this earth! Live life to the fullest each and everyday!

I have run out of words. I am so sorry for the loss to his family, and hope and pray that God will carry not only them, but also Andrew Bradford's and Deleen Boonzaaier's family in this difficult time.

How did we come to this? God help us all.

edit - not forgetting of BDF.

Gone, but not forgotten!
