Just don't turn around at the end of Blue Route :whistling:

Fingers crossed. Funny thing is, we stay in fish hoek and my mom dropped us off at the start. We usually ride back home afterwards. When we told the guys we weren't turning around and wanted to carry on riding the route till fish hoek they didn't believe us. Luckily my Mom was on the bridge at the turn off and we could see her. I phoned and told her to wave. The marshals then believed us. We never even bothered to ride, we just got into the car and drove home.

Also always stay in fish hoek.

Riding with my dad this year means I'll start with him in the unseeded groups closer to 10am.

This means we'll have to leave FH by 6 so we dont get caught in the road closures, then have a little nap and some brekkies in the car whilst while we wait for our start time.

My official seeding is 3J @07:40 something.

So the better half and I entered as tandem. Get 2 phone calls from CTCT this week to confirm that we are a tandem entry - we say YES.

Seedings received today:

Me - @ starting 06:23

Her- 1A starting 06:27

Huh??????????????

The other thing that makes it tricky to compare with 2016 (other than the perfect weather that year) is the different groupings

2016 it was just $ then 1A etc

2018 it is $,&,@ then 1A etc

also not sure how the sizes of the groups compare

I'm also in 1B - hope the group would be fast enough..

Always hard to predict yes. With perfect weather (and considering the smaller groups) I'd say even a handful of 1E have a chance.

I hope they're big hands! I'm in 1E! It would be great to do a sub 3 in my first Argus but I'm really just amped for the vibe and mixing it up on the climbs

I did a 2h56 in 2007 from the E bunch as a laaitjie. We were 20 odd that wanted to go fast from the start and left most of the group behind. Those days groups were bigger so E was not as strong as a modern 1E. My group position was 14/443, these days groups are <300.

If the weather plays along, and you play along at the business end of your group it could happen from 1E. Good luck :)

Thanks mate! I'd feel bad claiming a sub 3 without doing my work up front anyways
