Quagga Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 "I have seen way to many FOX forks damaged to out and buy one official independent study or not." Try again. That's not even a coherent sentence.Did and edit for you.....
Quagga Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 We have had a test fork that has been "abused" over the last 2 years, to see what happens, what goes wrong. To date seeing only a single major service in that time, it has been tough as nails with no signs of damage. Not good enough / or not enough data to state this ...apparently
BaGearA Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Bliksem I think this thread officially qualifies as Friday thread now
MTBeer Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I demand a KPMG Fork audit. That'll be definitive.
Odinson Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I demand a KPMG Fork audit. That'll be definitive. There are whispers of a Rogue Seal unit in FOX, conspiring to install dodgy SKF seals in the latest models. QUICK, get KPMG on the phone!
Skylark Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 wubba lubba dub dubSimon speaks in his incoherent home language "In my world word of mouth is often the BEST proof" You're not legitimately trying to be serious??? Unless you swallow marketing gibberish hook line and sinker this is the the best proof, as they say the proof is in the pudding.. but not for simple Simon Kolin. I could swear this guy is linked to one of the online bike shops or some bike product or something in the bike industry? He appears to know who the distributors are of various bike products are, I'm sure there was some thread a while back were he was giving his 5c about his point of view being in the bike industry...

It really doesn't take much effort find out which agencies represent various products in the country. "Google, who are the distributors of x in South Africa?"
Pikey Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 What about MRP forks... How do they hold up in the scheme of what lasts and what doesnt... They are my fork of choice.Brilliant and bullet proof,As long as you don't get some wanna be forking expert (shop) to adjust your travel . Apparently a "simple" job. My fork now goes to agents only.

"Google, who are the distributors of x in South Africa?"It's revealing that you have not disputed any of my statements but chose to rather side step them, I can only assume that the conclusions I have drawn are close enough to being correct. But yes I am surprised you didn't need any documented evidence or peer reviewed studies to realise that you could use Google to discover the SA agencies, I'm surprised you let common sense get the better of you there Simon, what gives??

You have written that "He appears to know who the distributors of various bike products are". I have never claimed otherwise. From your statements (not facts), you are free to draw whatever conclusions you like. MRP is what I recommend to my clients, and will be my choice of fork for the foreseeable future.
