I suppose you need to start somewhere, but bicycles make up for a minuscule portion of global CF consumption. I'll ride my stiff, light bike with a clear conscience, thank you ;)

So, if you don't ride a carbon bike for the reasons in the article, will you become a vegetarian as well?

Asking for a friend.

What if you are vegetarian but you want a carbon bike?

Wonder how much of it was economies of scale and just trying to put a positive spin on it.

That frame he is man handling looks well thought out but damn expensive.........

THIS is the conundrum engineers face daily ...

The best on the showroom is certainly not the best design .... the best design often is just unaffordably expensive.

labour practices certainly is something that deserves more thought .....  Not even talking of minimum wage, but child labour ...

Call me crazy, but times have changed. The best design today is the most sustainable 1. Having a sustainable world for future generations is priceless and a non-negotiable requirement. Private vehicles with combustion engines should be banned and everybody should be allowed to own 1 steel bicycle.

You have lost your mind.

Only allowed 1 bicycle? please go spread this silly talk somewhere else, the rest of us will just N+1 until armageddon comes along.

The next carbon frame I see on the trail...

In a similar kind of way, I've been looking to do that to Kim Cattrell for a number of years.....
