Yes, my bike is fine. It is with the kind geezer.

I tucked the font end on some sand which had blown onto the shoulder (apparently). I then smacked my head breaking my lid in two places, falling into the carriageway in the process.

A very kind felliow then stopped the traffic in the left hand lane, and revived me whilst calling an ambulance.

The ambulance crew were fantastic and probably saved my life.

I couldn’t remember what day of the week it was and only when my partner came to see me at the hospital did I remember I was on leave.

Concussion: it’s. A bit weird...

Hectic stuff..glad you are okay..heal up fast.

This is the best story I have read all day (and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way).

Great to hear you're alright.

Even better to hear it wasn't some jackass that hit you and nice to see there's still good Samaritans out there.

Wait till the jackasses arrive, will be all about how to prevent front end wash, tyre pressures vs grip and stem length control.

Glad you are "ok".

Just a word of advice. Not sure what medical aid you are on, but make sure ALL TEST AND PROCEDURES resulting from this crash is done while you are still in hospital, lest your medical aid may look for reasons not to pay for follow up procedures or tests.

Believe me, I have paid that school fees.

Trust you will recover completely.

I should be out on Tuesday or Wednesday.

glad to hear you came out of this "ok" and that the bike is fine.

Take your time on your recovery, a proper concussion like that is no laughing matter.

hotdamn sand! Hard to say to take care with a concussion, because really, whatever damage can be caused is already done. I just hope its nothing major, and that you recover just fine.

now for the lighter side of things: please say there's footage!!! :P
