Hail mary here.

my free hub went over the weekend, opened up to find a broken pawl, (found a new one).

BUT, the axle thread on the drive side is cracked.

Have gone to LBS to find if they can order a spare from SRAM, but then whilst I wait on that wondered now if someone has something similar from a busted wheelset.

Hub is SRAM MTH 746 - wheelset is sun ringle inferno23. Off a RM vertex 2013. (non boost) TA12x148

only the axle is moertoe (although i do wonder how long it's been like this!!)

Try a Specialized store. I suspect those axles are the same as the in Formula hubs used on the Comp-level Spez wheels from the same era.

Can you supply me with dimensions ( length inside and outside) plus diameter ? I should have something that will fit.

In hindsight, really should have got the vernier out when i had it all open. Will do.

hot tip, thanks Droo. It survived the Muratie Meurant ride, but this is a JRA waiting to happen

You can pull the axle out with the freehub on so you don't have to take the nut off the janky end, so at least there's that.

It's held in compression by the through axle, so the failure won't be catastrophic - but when it does go it'll break at the step between the freehub bearing end the spacer.

Good Morning

I am looking for a Shimano 11-speed shifter.  Mtb is 2x setup, but my understanding is I only need the back shifter.  Apparently, Shimano is out of stock.

Try calling the following shops to check who has stock:

. Evobikes

. Marks Workshop

. Recycles

. CWC

. Geko cycles

ok, it includes wheels and bearings, so must be appropriate!

picked up these rollerblades for my daughter - Salomon is a decent brand, but the ankle cuff plastic is deteriorating to the point of destruction on one already.

SOOOOO, in the name of throwing good money and time after bad, looking at redoing them

like so.

therefore, wondering if anyone has a donor rollerblade that is sitting around, and i will hack the cuffs out of them - these are size 7 but there can be wiggle room. not entirely sure how I will do the rivets to keep them flush, but thinking a chainring bolt set with washers could work.

of course there is the bulletproof option.

open to suggestions/FLAMES

Hi Robert,

I have a few adapters for you. You can take the whole lot?  Send Philipie with some chocolate. 🍫
