I LOVE Etap, but the blipbox is an epic fail.  Why design "wireless" shifting, and then make us have to use this abomination for TT shifters (where aero is everything!):

Two WAY better options would have been:

1.  Incorporate the shift transmitter in the shifters themselves (as already done in the road shifters!)

2.  Make it smaller (ie size of a di2 junction box) so you can at least hide it in the frame and not have it out in the open to attract sweat and with wires everywhere.

 

Drives me nuts... Just waiting for Etap 2.0....

Poor quality touch screens on SAA aircraft where you really, really have to press to get something to happen. Then you have a kid behind you on a flight out of Sydney prodding you in the back of the head for 15 hours.

 

On the bike front, saddle post tops where you can't get the little plate over the top of the saddle rails without taking it all a part. Then you get the plate on top, but then there two funny roller jobbies that don't line up .... I always thought there must be a better form of saddle clamp.

That's the first thing that gets changed!

And then the warranty is void. I have had this fight many times with game re devices. I eventually win after a long fight.

Poor quality touch screens on SAA aircraft where you really, really have to press to get something to happen. Then you have kid behind you on a flight out of Sydney prodding you in the back of the head for 15 hours.

 

After flying Emirates, I will not soon be taking another SAA flight anywhere apart from domestic.

The design clanger of the century:

 

Lets make cars that can do 250 kph ( even the small ones get 160)

Put up road signs that limit us to 120 nationally.

Spend huge amounts of money on cops sitting behind speed cams.

Spend huge amounts of money on marketing to show how fast these cars are.

 

Germany only place with autobahn afaik.

The design clanger of the century:

Lets make cars that can do 250 kph ( even the small ones get 160)

Put up road signs that limit us to 120 nationally.

Spend huge amounts of money on cops sitting behind speed cams.

Spend huge amounts of money on marketing to show how fast these cars are.

Germany only place with autobahn afaik.

Autobahn with unlimited speed is getting less.

 

Only design issue/flaw is the human interaction. Everything works well until you add humans.

i've seen many autobahn videos and mos guys get stuck behind larger vehicles before they can even reach 200kp/h

I still have to fly in an commercial aircraft with a proper PA system.....

 

They all sound like the 70's 5w speakers!
