Which makes the whole thing even worse as they are professional cyclists. I would love to hear their excuse to their team manager and sponsors.

First excuse started right after they finished and a crew member took the bike

The sponsor has got endless mileage out of it, so not all bad ;-)

Have worked with them previously, they're good guys, happens to the best of us.

Pretty sure the team owner Samuele and the team will be teasing them about it more than anything. Besides, some of the team shared the post anyways.

Yup. Not the sort of thing to outgrow of. As long as they can see the lighter side of it.

Talking of finish line crashes, I remember the ladies winners in one of the earlier editions also wiping each other out on the finish... one of them dislocated their shoulder if I recall?

Most impressive ride of the Cape Epic?

Candice Lill for me... seriously exceptional to be so close to overall winners of that pedigree!

Must say I never quite pictured her as being quite that good, but she's definitely risen to the occasion. Hopefully she can continue the progression up

Another pair did that just before the line on the last day.

One of the Last Lions, I think.

What a terrible way to finish the Epic!

Yup, I just missed that but saw them hitting the deck!

That looked like a broken collar bone the way it way standing out when he walked passed me.
