Really bad news about Tom..he would have had a big impact on the race.

Also a bit ???????? about Tao losing time on the previous stage due to that crash near the end..not a massif loss but 1min is enough to put him back a bit.

These finishes are just going to be even more hectic with the GC teams trying to keep their leaders towards the front of the pack to reduce the risk of falling and splits.

One things I take from this. In the CTCT there was a lot of talk of idiots with no skills.

Bike racing is dangerous, these guys are the best and still crash. It's just a shame when it takes out the contenders but that's part of the game.

The finish to today's stage was clearly designed for the big sprint trains.

Downhill stage with only a Cat 4 climb, 50km from the finish.

Last 9odd km is dead flat.

Finishing straight is 1.5km, but you can almost say it is 3.5km long as that is where the last corner is for the peloton to navigate, from there it is more sweeping bends.

Viviani to have his revenge? Or do you need the big power output of the big boys like Ackerman? I'm leaning towards Ackerman...

For once Dimension data placed well in the bunch , and almost entire team took out.

O Connor lost 1:30 . Hopefully he can make up some places when the road turns upwards.

Roglic timing was very good , he just moved ahead of the guys that fell a second or two before it happened.

Jep, it is fun to contrast that with the penultimate stage, which is a bit more lumpy..

The last 10 days of this tour is going to be insane!

Jeez that's a bit roff, why did they need too internally test. Couldn't they just take blood like anyone else?

Its a system and policy implemented because its the right thing to do on all riders for health reasons.

You say health reasons, why then is he suspended and not just withdrawn?... and now is to have further testing with UCI collaboration?
