lechatnoir Posted November 19, 2018 Share Is there anyone out there with a good suggestion on what to put down under an IDT? I'm currently using a sacrificial yoga mat. It's OK, but little grease balls still seem to get on the floor (thankfully tiles, not carpet). It seems to catch a lot of the grease dots, though care is needed to keep these contained

thisismyotherbike Posted November 19, 2018 Share We use gym flooring tiles, Sportsmans Warehouse offers a few options. https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/shock-athletic-4-pack-gym-flooring/4214 https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/shock-athletic-fitness-mat/4214 Works a charm and easy to clean. I recently replaced the worn blocks after two years of heavy use.

I made the mistake of using squirt on my IDT bike, on a carpet. Moved to rock n roll gold, now no more mess at all.
FirstV8 Posted November 19, 2018 Share If you aren’t using a PeeMatt you are going hard enough I like your thinking but it should read PMAT HAHA (http://www.pmat.co.za/) They are a bit small for that use but will give the room a good fragrance . SwissVan Posted November 20, 2018 Share Yoga mat (thick one +/- 1cm) with a thin IDT ( elite) mat on top. Then I put one of those super absorbing camping towels under the bike to catch the sweat.Plus a sweat catcher over the top tube and stem. The towel and sweat catcher get washed regularly and the mats stay relatively dry and clean. The thick mat helps with dampening sound as I live in an apartment. @ndy Posted November 20, 2018 Share I use a sheet of rubber dimple flooring mat. They sell it by the meter at plastics for africa. I don't use anything to catch the sweat I just mop it up afterwards.
