I would be very disgruntled and if my name was posted on a forum with accusations like these, even if they were proven to be true. What do you get out of posting his name (now everyone in the world can track him down) after those fair requests were made?

Anyways, what's the car made of under that white paint? Gold leaf? The photos only show some dents and scratches on 2 panels - buy a panel for R2500 and a door for another R2500, R1000-2000 labour charge for assembly en voila. Was there more damage to the car not shown in the 2 photos posted prior?

Because they still experienced a close encounter first hand that sounds like it could've been avoided had they kept a safe following distance... A donation would show empathy and sincerity from the company's side.

You obviously have no idea what it costs and what it takes to repair a car properly.

We were so close to closure and a happy ending, but now its kicking off again.

Clearly some people just want to fight and argue. On the internet...

I occasionally repair sell cars and motorbikes as a job on the side, so I'm well aware of inflated insurance quotes thank you very much. The rates I quoted are close estimates of what I'd be paying for a repair of my own of that nature.

Problem being that if I take my car to anybody but an authorized repairer I lose my entire warantee .... absurd !  But thats the way the cookie crumbles .....

Cost R12 500 to replace ONE front fender and bit of touch up on the front bumper ....

Good point. All my projects were outside of warranty, so this didn't cross my mind at all!

"authorized repaired", then "authorized painter", etc etc etc

And there insurance will be paying and recovering the charges from said offender.

Notwithstanding that there is no implication of fault on the part of your employee, perhaps your company would consider making a donation of a similar amount to the Pedal Power Association, to be used specifically towards funding their "Stay Wider of the Rider" advertising campaign?

Rather donate to a campaign that encourages cyclist not to ride like chops...

I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt at first, but now you’re removed it.
