Why not just message them for the details?

Just not the same ... and sometimes it is also good to point out something like a fork advertised as Fox is actually a RST ... and the like

I do really like the "swipe" function on the advert thumbnails when looking at a string of adds ... that is a real winner.

No man! I'm fighting a subtle battle with the rest of the team to remove them to help with page load speeds and funny false swipes on mobile. They might see this support for the feature and use it against me. You can't win them all  :(

In this case Nick you just have to be a Team Player!

One thing we've done is reduce the file size of the large image format. This should help speed things up a bit. That said, we do need to work on that feature to make it work more seamlessly across all devices.

The mobile view, what device are you using? I'll get the team take a look at that.

iPhone 6

I launched site while back with same amount pics etc, ill go check what i did to get speed fast,

should not change anything on load times.   You load the non visible images only after click (use lazy load if you lazy).   Also use picture with different image src based in viewport size to optimize image delivery based in device

Below is what we do for images , google gives site about 95-100 for page speed.

Image loaded is determined on device width .  Each image is about 14kb on large screens.

Total page size with 10 listings  is 558kb/224kb on the wire with all visible images above fold loaded. As you scroll, rest gets loaded as it gets above fold.

2nd visit (after js/css cached on pc) , 200kb /62kb on the wire.

Got to agree - comments in the classified were great. Not only entertaining, but often useful to call a seller out. And not always seller who is trying to be a &*%$, but sometimes a seller gets things wrong, and another hubber might have more details. Happened often with the year models where the seller got it wrong and was picked up by another based on the colour scheme, etc

Dear Admin

This advert is a prime example of why comments on the classifieds should be allowed: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/road-bikes/19785/lynskey-titanium-road-bike

The seller needs to know how drop dead sexy his / her bike is, and needs a talking to so that that person can realise just what a big life mistake it would be to sell the bike.

Over and out.

or buy it in their site!

Hi there, is it just me, or does everyone need to log in EACH time we visit the website?

I sign in almost daily, why is there no "remember me" option?

Yes, this is an issue for some users. You should be logged in for a year by default, so no remember me option needed.

We've been struggling to replicate the problem, so our fixes have been a bit of a stab in the dark. There is another fix going out early next week which we are hoping will do the job.

Would it be possible to have a persistent search box in the classifieds. Once you have clicked into an add it is removed.

If you are in the forum section the search icon remains next to the bell.

Maybe site wide?

Yeah, we can have a look at doing that. I'll add it our feature requests.
