Always been a fan of Volvo, unfortunately they seem to have discontinued sedans in SA (s60 not coming and V40 discontinued) and are only importing suvs.

I'm not a fan of suvs, so I'm running out of options to buy a sedan

This is the only volvo I would consider owning.

Best car I ever owned - think this is the sportier version but close - I’m genuinely looking for a very clean one

Brings back memories of when Top Gear used one in one of their Africa challenges. I remember that thing sliding through mud and being towed by the scooby.

Yes, the photo is the TR version, my introduction to Hot 'wagons in the 90's

From there my love developed into the Subaru Forester, I had a 2.5 that I put 200k kms on the clock after buying it with a 100k on.

If I had more money than brains (I currently have about equal amounts of money and brains*...), I would have each in my garage.

Why does Volvo not offer a Guaranteed Future Value deal?

Even Volvo doesn't want to peg a Future Value on them  :whistling:

They do offer a GFV, they call it Versatility Finance

1.5km commute in the same suburb .... you should have bought her an e-bike commuter instead!

When we first met, my townhouse was exactly 1 block away (but about 600 m in length) from her workplace. She did walk that a few times, but then weather and having to carry stuff got in the way. That was before I rediscovered cycling, so I didn't promote cycling as an option.
