The cost of living in CT is way more expensive than up country.

Things like cheese. I spent some time in Natal a while ago and cheese is about 30-50% the price....

Cape Tonians have it rough. They earn less and have higher living costs. I often ask people who don't surf/beach or use the mountain why they live in Cape Town.

Personally I find the classifieds in general over priced these days. I have seen brakes, frames and other bits selling for the the same price as guys paid 4 or 5 years ago new. I call it 2015 goods at 2020 prices.

Maybe kaapies over value their kit because they all want to buy cheese.......

Ja boet, sometimes I also get cheesed of.... :P  :P

Also think GP just has more 2nd supply and therefore priced at decent 2nd hand market rates

Restaurants in CT are definitely more expensive. A Hawaiian Pizza costs R120 here in jhb R95 unless you buy at one of the franchises that has branches nation wide. Even then there is slight difference because cost of ingredients is cheaper up country.

Might I recommend Forneria in Table View ... family run Italian restaurant, by real Italians, with exceptional food at great pricing ... Hawaiian Pizza will set you back R82.00 .... though I think if you order pineapple on your pizza you may get kicked out .. it is a trap to weed out the riff raff of society!

Last time I had a chat with the one guy I always see there, he told me he was bulgarian not italian hahaha, I always thought his accent was so authentic :D Maybe he just works there but I've always seen him there since the first time I fell in love with their Domenique Pizza, the best in town

whahhaahha ... if this the case then they have me fooled, but the older gents certainly sound and came across as Italian.
