Something like 22 000 m vert over the next 4-5 stages.
Can the 21 year old surprise and climb like an angel until Rome? Will Roglič exit and reset for the Tour de France after seemingly struggling with injuries on both hips? Can Yates overcome his rivals and win GC after coming so so close in 2018 thereabouts?

Great photograph:

Is Rogi scheduled to ride the Tour? ... would be a rare double

6 stages left. To-date this has felt like a very flat GT?

Maybe with the past tours with spice throughout the 3 weeks has made it seem this way.

Or just me...

Anyway look forward to what's to come.

Yep just " 4 mountain stages" this year but at least some entertainment guaranteed until Saturday,

Ya I remember GCN reviewing the route and coming to the conclusion that it was a bit underwhelming. But the flip side is that with 6 stages left there is under 4 minutes separating the top 10 riders which is exciting in it's own right. Someone like Bernal, in 8th position, still has great incentive to attack and I'm sure he will!

The time gaps will probably be a lot bigger by the end of today though, and I fear for Roglic.

It might have been flat literally, but the action was nothing short of great!

GC still wide open. Cannot wait to see the battle between the 2 UAE riders. Today we'll know if one of them or Carapaz is going to win this year's edition 😉

Yeah agreed. Wasn't suggesting its been boring just noting its felt very "flat".

I really look forward to Ineos and carapaz throw this race upside down from today onwards.

Also not a fan of ayuso so hoping del toro holds strong.

Ideal podium:

1. Del Totto

2. Carapaz

3. Bernal

4. Roglic

5. Ayuso

back ended, 4 tough stages where plenty of cracking can happen.

this is the rough numbers, of the 21 stages, the four toughest are in final week.
