Only Day 2 and it's already chaotic with an unexpected GC!

Nino reckons he hit some hidden glass, tried to pop a tube in but the hole was too big and eventually swapped wheels with (didn't hear name).

Hopefully Matt just had a bad day and isn't ill!

Tomorrow is going to be proper exciting!

They changed wheels with Andri Frischnecht.

The course today doesn’t suit Matt and also he’s had trouble in the heat before. Some footage of Chris pushing him hand on back and putting his back into it

Applies to amateurs, not UCI teams afik

its similar for the UCI teams. The policy applies to all, however the UCI teams can apply for a waiver on medical grounds. This s recorded and signed off by SAIDS /WADA official present. This is how the process was described to me in 2016 when i needed a drip (rank amateur)

for an amateur, if you need a 2nd drip then its preferable to go to the nearest hospital on your own and have the drip applied there. The race hospital is not allowed to administer drips on more than 1 day of the event. I'm not sure if there's a time period where this reset to zero ie.g after 3 or 4 or 5 days or if its longer. or if the rules have changed for the UCI teams but because it falls into the no needles policy I'm leaning toward it being some strictly monitored to avoid abuse
