DJR Posted December 1, 2023 Share The idea certainly crossed my mind, so, as a sad 2nd best, this is one I posted a while back (in the gum forest above Llundudno). 'Dale, Prince Albert Cycles, Abel Du Plessis and 8 others 9

A similar cycling-related thing happened for Kathryn Bertine. She wrote a book STAND, and is discussed on the Empirical Cycling podcast. She was the woman lobbying ASO to get the Tour de France Femmes up and running. Former pro cyclist and successful lobbyist for the Tour de France Femmes, Kathryn Bertine joins the podcast to discuss her new memoir about these efforts, STAND, which details what it took, and what it cost. We discuss the writing and publishing process, activism and slacktivism, what people can do to effect change at every level, the financial structure of the TdF and sponsorships in cycling, what the Homestretch Foundation is and its purpose, an unlikely friendship with a raunchy comedian, and much more. Frosty Posted December 1, 2023 Share Forgot to post the link, if anyone is interested. Most of the top publishers ignored her, because she was a woman. Quite sad that this type of oppression happened, but good to see them overcome it. https://podcasts.apple.com/za/podcast/empirical-cycling-podcast/id1457497693?i=1000622588607 BigDL

TyronLab Posted December 3, 2023 Share Tested out the limits of 34x15 today, tackling my tried and tested urban climbing loop. I was proper 30rpm grinding some sections (granted, some pitches were ~15%), but didn't have to engage third gear. Came away with a few PRs too, which was a nice surprise. This bike is crazy fun! peetwindhoek, throttles, Abel Du Plessis and 3 others
