Where has your bike taken you today?

I dropped the oil burner for a service yesterday morning and rode the old Trance from Table View along the Cycle path, through Salt River, to Claremont. I learnt to respect those who commute against the Southeaster every day! It was bloody hard work getting the huge knobblies to roll, even though it was flat all the way. I gave up trying to hang with guys on road bikes after 2 attempts.

One of the Ds and I went to check out the Mast on Constantiaberg after somewhat of a road induced absence. Seeing the moon pinned on top if the mast when we drove up through Tokai, just confirmed that we picked the perfect day for it! I think all Capies should be obliged to ride up there at least once a year. We are so fortunate to have a place like this in our backyard!

post-39899-0-93856100-1395473472_thumb.jpgTokai Trails..One of the last sections of pine forest between the hikers trail up to the elephants eye and the fairy garden track .They start harvesting this section of pine forest from next week so sadly this is one of my last shady rides through this section ,It will be closed to bikers and walkers during felling and then who knows how long until they allow the track builders to rebuild the path. That picture is on Boulders

As far as I know Fairy Garden will be logged, but not Boulders at this stage.

Lets hope so... the notice posted says access to walkers up to the elephant eye and that crosses through the area around boulders track

We rode Red Hill for the first time. What an amazing climb.

Yup, one of the most beautiful, right up there with the other two stunning sisters, Slangkop and Chapmans Peak! Ou Kaapse Weg is the ugly sister, and even that is pretty!

It reminded me a bit of Ou Hels, with a sea view. It just became my favorite climb in CT.
