Looks like the trail at Du Toitskloof cellar?

It is...indeed...will be doing the whole trail next week or so...just getting my bearings again 😀

I definitely am a much more drab area of South Africa to cycle in. Not as picturesque as some of the photos I have seen here.

Dankie!

Maar beslis nie so mooi groen soos in die Wes-Kap nie. Lekker vaal tussen Sasolburg en Parys.

Spot on! Just before the last couple of big hills on way to the N1/R59 bridge.

I recently had some work done on my road bike, and had the cluster replaced with a 11 -28, doing away with the 11-25. What a major difference the 28-tooth cog made on that uphill compared to the 25 that my bike had. Much better for an outoppie of 61 years.😁

Nice! I like that trail. My sister and BIL farms about 11km away from Du Toitskloof Cellar towards Worcester. Decided once to ride from their farm and do the red loop and back. The wind coming from Worcester's direction was not so friendly on the way back though 😂

whenever I'm heading back West via Worcester more often than not I encounter a wind in that valley that shakes my KB 250 around as if it is a Hyundai i10. Riding a mountain bike there has never appealed to me for that very reason.

Absolutely. On this particular day I was heading back towards Worcester and the headwind forced me almost into granny gear on a slight downhill 🤣

In that valley you are going to have one of three days:

- WIND !!!

- HOT !!!!

- and then the odd stunning day ...

@KB280DT and I were fortunate to have a pretty decent, if cloudy day, during a race there a few weeks back.

To me it's fine if I'm riding and it starts to rain a bit but I won't start a ride in the rain.
