The huge obstacle is the Kobonqaba river, which is often deep over the rainy season. I was offered instant, but asked for filter, which they kindly made for me, then charged me nothing.Finally on the beach after crossing the Kobonqaba river at low tide, waist deep, and almost getting caught in quicksand, a very real danger on the bigger Transkei rivers, along with Zambezi's BSG, bullet77, DJR and 5 others 8

As a student after getting paid for an internship I took my first solo holiday there. Got flown in on a 4 seater plane, spent my days rowing boats and playing on the beach with their dogs Would've been amazing if I rode a bike back then. Very jealous Mr dean.

The hotel was empty this weekend though. I was surprised that they were open.
