 Ha! saw you guys when you got back...

Our ride was a different ballgame all together - very muddy after that downpour!

Where did you guys land up riding?

 

 

Not too sure, but guys at the shop directed us and from what I could see we were close to the outer perimeter on combination single and jeep track (left of the shop), then district road approach to Miems - that road was wet, but okay.

As we started climbing towards Miems, the lady in our group took a tumble on the rocks and hurt her arm - about 6km into the ride.

Took a shortcut back to get the car and pick her up.

 

All in, ended on 11km for the day. And some beer.

 

Following this and a ridiculous commute in the rain along the Spruit on Friday, I've had enough mud for a while.

Back to single digit temperatures (7°) but the sun is out and hardly any wind. Just a short ride of 30km to get my total above 100km for this month :-)

Trail is pretty wasted after the rain, and would need a lot of work. But still fun to attempt it.  Did however halfway down decide to call it quits before destroying our bikes on what used to be the trail, and is now on par with Ezelenduro S4, and headed down on Red Phoenix.

The height of the dead trees give a good idea of the size of the drop. Very cool.
