Agreed!

I can even feel my balls retract because of the near zero temperature water!

My feet are still cold from that water.... Brrrrrrrrrrr

Another superb road bike ride today.

From Midrand all across Pretoria and back.

Klapperkop is looking fantastic.

Nice pic with Waterkloof Golf Club in the backgroud. Also some nice MTB track (10km with good climbs; 70-100m in 1km) starting just off that chevron board. The Pajamadonkeys also a regular. Again the USN water bottle in the photo.......wassup???

Got well lost outside Swellendam... Very worth it though.

You're only lost if you know exactly where you want to go......otherwise you are just exploring!

With such quality and classy photos, attention goes to detail. It is still a thing I struggle with when taking photos. Leaving the water bottle on an eyecatching bike detracts focus from the bike. A completely black water bottle would add much more impact than the (all so common and goodie bag "surprise") USN water bottle. That is why the "tongue in the cheek" comments about the USN water bottle. :whistling:

A few posts back there is also a great photo of Pretoria CBD by the same hubber.....with the same bike.....with the same water bottle......from Midrand to Pretoria. I appreciate his contributions as they are really good and visually pleasing (especially when you go to http://www.flickr.co...ix1/9876341583/ and check out the rest).

SONDELA Nature Reserve during the weekend:

  • Early morning ride on some nice single track (not the sandy part at the top of the nature reserve).
  • Fast and flat single track through the bush.
  • New accommodation now available after last year's devastating fire (check the USN water botlle on bike  )
  • The ears of this buck still show the impact the fire had on all at Sondela (some animals were burnt quite badly).

(PS: Sondela Cycle Classic - 26 & 27 October 2013 - Road & Mtb)

For me the water bottle is what is making the photo human and cyclist. If the bike was without the bottle it might have easily been said that a photographer was taking pictures of someone else's bike.
