I think this is your best option for getting through it....

I don't know the person that posted this (and I don't know who Greg is), but I was very tempted to pop in for a champagne breakfast at Greg's house last year:

Then there are several beers stops thereafter. Maybe it's on again this year. Worth a try.

Dixies ....

I'm looking forward to supporting the race this year... See you just past Simons Town with the mankini guy on his trainer 🤣

Might struggle to see you if the pace is hot 😅

Weather predictions in CT more than a week out. That's optimistic.

If you want to know what the weather will do in CT, look out of the window on the day. And if you don't like it, wait 5 minutes. Or ride 5km.

Or just look to your side ...

Totally overcast over the stadium, clearing over the harbour, clear over the CBD ...

First long term prediction is up

Windy.com is forecasting the polar opposite from this.

The safe bet is as @droo says, check on the day. The last two years I have found the weather forecasts in Cape Town to be spotty at best and downright wrong at worst.

My advice for out of towners. Get some wind riding in, although I suspect it's a tad late for that now.

My training rides over the last two months ... I would be checking the weather at night, get outside the next morning to totally different weather ...

But wait, there is more ...

Along Bottelary the wrather would change, again over Helshoogte ... jip, more changes before getting to Franschhoek.  Best one was basically windless while approaching Franschhoek, just to encounter the worst gusts towards the upper U bend of the pass.

Weather predictions in the Cape .... as accurate as political promises ...

Gauteng has gone this way to over the last few months. I've missed so many training rides because the apps say rain, and then I see the crew rode that day with no rain.

There also seems to be this strange  phenomenon happening around where I stay. It will be raining around my place, but 1km down the road its dry.

Last month we had a storm at work, which was 2.5km from home, called the wife at home and she says there is not even a drizzle.
