So she is finished, not my bike but still a SS.

@ WyattEarp - that frame is gorgeous! Is the paint matt?

 

Update: my frame is on its way from Bogus to me. Ought to arrive by Wednesday. I am still looking for white and silver brakes. My silver wide flat bar only arrives in Jan as well. She ought to be complete in early Jan 15.

As anyone tried installing a Shimano Alfine hub to their SS? Been thinking of making my Cotic Simple my all rounder bike, and having the option of swopping out the rear wheel, for the Alfine, would make it my geared bike as well. I don't see any issues with this, but I have never seen it done... Any thoughts or suggestions?

It will work fine. Google for examples. Will be heavy though.

I called Coolheat for you, they don't even import the Alfine stuff, we can see what options Sram has in the new year .

Agreed. Just getting gears is complicated, never mind learning to use them....
