Then made the best of the first few kilometers of jeep track, the steady climb was handy .... Got to the "second group" just as we got to the first downhill section ..... I passed a few of these riders, and at the first water point I stopped to take some photos of them as they blasted through .... shame, the staff at this point could not understand why this group was not stopping after about 15km The next section was from a fairy-tale forest ..... Then a nice flat section taking us to the first proper climb of the day .... Turns out was going to take a few pics of Team Boobies during this ride. One stalls ... all walk .... And then my fun started ... BOOST, and blast up the hill, to wait for the group and take some pics from the front. With me taking pics, the group dissapeared down the other side of the hill, and I was left chasing down this lady .... rather, I nearly broke my neck trying to keep up with her. DAMN, she is FAST down those trails !!! Mid point of the race, so most stopped to top up their water bottles. The staff were SUPER And then the fun started with a few "wet spots" .... Sand, water crossings, and a few more bursts of speed to get pics from the front .... Last action pic of the day .... During the last section we saw a few of the walkers/joggers .... I did my first 50k yesterday in & around "Da Souf" again after the trip to hospital with broken ribs. Almost fully recovered, so will start to increase the training load slowly but surely.
