I thought it was just me that had the blocked nozzle, although I fixed this by changing nozzles from an older bottle, so perhaps a bottle design issue rather than a product issue. re: RD pulleys, I wipe and lube once a week. I've found if I put to much lube on then the pulleys build up muck. But have just made it a habbit to run a screw driver over them after wiping down the chain.

I used to check my cadence often, but since my bike came back from CTCT the sensor has not been working, despite putting in new batteries (yes I tried multiple), doing the battery in upside down reset thing. Then 1 day a few weeks back it started working again. But the readings are erratic so I can only assume the unit is faulty. The result of all of the above is that I now ride on feel, it has not changed how I ride, but I no longer obsess with checking my cadence.

yeah, I'm not in agreement with the covering of the uninsured items, unless the person has some sort of all risk out and about cover for unspecified items that this can fall under.

I wont comment on your other points, but this particular one stood out for me. We have insurance for when things go wrong, whether our fault or not. As long as the damage was not intentional, it should not matter if he took the wrong line or a meteor fell out of the sky and hit the bike.

yeah but with cars they sometimes take it to far. For instance many cars lidar/camera safety equipment will not work 100% with a non OEM windscreens, but insurers will fight to have alternative windscreens installed, putting their clients at risk because the safety systems are not working 100%.

Many years ago I moved away from the umbrella company because of this. I was rear ended in my car twice in the space of 3 days. I reported both incidents to them as that is what you are obligated to do. The car was not assessed from the first accident when the second one occurred, so essentially I could have just claimed for one accident. They then wanted to charge me excess for both accidents. After some arguments I won that fight, had the car repaired and went elsewhere.

I've got 2 issues with Garmin livetrack that make it unreliable. 1) occasionally Garmin does an update and turns live track autostart off or it simply does not start automatically like it should. (to be fair this has not happened for a long while) 2) it relies on connection to your smart phone. I make a habbit of checking the pairing with my phone and even do a synch before riding, but on many occasions I'll get back from my ride and the 2 are no longer paired. Whether this is a garmin or iphone issue I dont know. because of the above, the wife will sometimes tell me she had to use Find My to see where I was because live track did not work.

Since all the Garmin threads got resurrected. Since my bike came back from CTCT I have a problem with my cadence sensor. The HU picks it up, but no data is shown. I first thought it was the battery, I replaced it with one I had that I thought was good, still did not work. Only recently got around to buying another battery. Still the same. I tried the insert the battery in upside down for 10 sec trick to reset it. Still nothing. Any ideas ?

the circled bits are connected to a metal strip running along the edge of the casing, that is the antennae, it needs to make contact with the circled pins which need to make contact with the PCB contact points that are circled.

the gps antennae runs around the casing on the inside, I had the same problem as you, opened the unit up again, made sure to put the antennae how it should be and its worked ever since.

that still has timing chips attached to it from the previous owner. Were they that fedup with cycling ?
