  1. stage 7. 10min effort at the end sucked. went to bed with throbbing legs last night
  2. i had planned to do this, but it would compromise me finishing my zwift academy i still need to do: last 4 workouts 2 group rides 2 races
  3. i did stage 5 yesterday. ugly faces were pulled
  4. i had a puncture that sealed up fairly quickly. left a find spray of gunk on my frame that was a pain in the butt to clean off
  5. i hit a rock on my crest. bend the edge badly. i bent it back and the rim cracked. a small bit of steel weld putty later and its been perfect since
  6. lol. i have a new set of these tires and they have wet spots. maybe you never noticed before?
  7. also waiting for the augmented reality. only issue i have with Rouvy is the lack of routes. or the fact that routes are so short. one tends to ride the same road constantly. whereas Zwift must have 100x more roads available
  8. its worth the fuss.
  9. go ride one. it will change your mind. extremely versatile bike. and most our our trails are so smooth that suspension is really not needed
  10. so i looked up the banned part of testoforte. have you guys ever been onto body building forums? - its like they are speaking a different language! everything has numbers and dashes in it. and in almost all threads, inevitably someone gets agro and for 3 pages a battle of ego's ensues.
  11. super optimal ultra super 6mega5testoboostmegaEPOupNOxextra
  12. going to steer clear of biogen in future... if its in one of their herbal products even if by cross contamination, it means it is certainly in their factory building being manufactured or put into other pills - which is worrying.
  13. why do i keep coming back to this thread
  14. Top tip for the day. i've always found the hills in Zwift feel like they are not as hard as the should be i've always been able to spin 90 odd and often find myself in a oddly high gear vs the gradient. after many many Many calibrations of my trainer i finally found the solution online. in Zwift settings move the trainer gradient setting from the preset middle all the way to max. this in essence makes the trainer react faster to gradient changes. boy what a difference! i suffered up Keith's hill in the lowest gear i have at 65-75 rpm on the 10-13% gradients much much happier now it feels more realistic. not so much happier at how much more it hurts!
  15. so zwift links directly to Garmin connect. not sure if it will award points though
  16. busy trying this, will revert back if Discovery points are awarded. thanks for the link!
  17. - opens thread - scrolls quickly through each page for pictures of Canyons - drools - closes thread - cries and goes back to work
  18. looks nice! great that it has a carbon fork. just check tire clearance is ok and see if you can get the bars swapped out for carbon
  19. the carbon will be more forgiving for certain. most alloy bikes come with all the components being allu - if you change the bars and seatpost to carbon this would make a pretty big difference to comfort - but at a cost. you might find it was a better idea to buy the carbon bike in the first place if you go that route as for tires, try get a bike with good clearance for large tires - that will allow you to run the pressures lower and increase comfort. the biggest think i can think of is the tires and having carbon CX bars to kill off the vibration - you hands will thank you for it
  20. i rode the 94.7 MTB race on my XC bike. I would have liked the suspension, but i think it goes against what a gravel bike is meant to be. In my mind XC bikes are designed to tear up clean smooth trails. Anything that gets too bumpy should be done on a MTB.
  21. I see this is a thread for people with class.. i have the Giant TXC SLR 2 so far it has been many fun miles!
  22. brand new and the brakes profile still drops lower than the fork arch reducing tire sizing options i have last gen record and with 25mm tires they only just don't touch the front brake by a ball hair. i still often get things stuck there because of the lack of space. this is not an issue with shimano or sram brakes on the same bike.
  23. @Thomo the do work with the Look Keo Pedals. but the cleating is not as positive as the original powertap pedals. i would not recommend this. go buy the zero float powertap cleats, they are black, not red. i found them to secure far better than the red. nb the zero float thing might not be everyones cup of tea though as for the pedals. i still very very much rave about them. so simple and easy to use. can move them from bike to bike without ever worrying. the app makes updating them easy to. just nb the IOS is easier to work with than android app.
  24. if you ever gash your tire by 1mm or even up to 1cm (done that once hitting a pothole) you use the plastic piece to place inside the tire over the gash. this ensures your replacement tube does not bulge out of the hole and burst. i believe they now make stickers specifically designed to cover such holes
