I can vouch for WTB rims, I'm on the heavier side and my i23's haven’t given me any problems in the last 5 years.
Let's just hope I didn't just jinx myself.
Not unless you want lots of rebuilds.
WTB KOM Tough i25 at the very least.
I’m looking at these upgrades and I’m wondering what would make me consider upgrading my Fenix 3 HR. Mobile payments is already available and could be very handy but I’ll seriously consider upgrading once they include InReach (or possibly cellular capabilities). That would make it really good in case of emergencies.
Really handy that manufacturers make guides like this, One-Up has a similar one on their website.
I thinks something like the SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger is a step in the right direction, it has M12x1 thread and the idea is to be compatible across a number of bikes.
Have found the attached Wolf Tooth rear axle guide very useful especially when ordering axles for IDT setups
This could also be an option if you want an MTB riding jersey.
It looks like they have a long sleeve as well but only in Medium for some reason.
Looks like you guys are in luck! This post seems to suggest the next generation Spark would be able to carry two jerry cans! Obviously just a bad translation.
No real change but I'll get there, riding a bit more and building trail should hopefully help.
Yeti SB115 and Transition Spur is out today and possibly even more Evo than the Evo.
So I pay close to R1500 and don't exactly know what I'm getting?
Is there some form of questionnaire that you at least know what items the person already has or needs? One only needs so many pumps, multi tools, water bottle cages or pairs of socks, unless its really something special.
Your local Bearing Man could be a good place to start. RS Components would also stock most of the items you want but they can be quite expensive.
I thought i'd start a Rocker Plate topic
I follow the Rocker Plate page on BookFace - Lots of guys making their own and some good designs.
I think its a cool DIY project to build my own. taking one of the members design i need to locally source the following parts - all available on Amazon but want to source locally.
Anyone in the engineering retail trade know where i can get them locally ?
I'm sure they would appreciate a call 22:00 at night when I'm doing "research", how difficult can it be to stop redirecting us to a blank website.
I'm not necessarily in the market for a YT but this doesn't really inspire confidence in their operation.
give them a shout out on +27 79 877 2071
This doesn't inspire confidence for their operation.
I agree, this design is really good. There is definitely a touch of Enduro in there as well. I think the next Stumpjumper would be a sweet bike if it follows this same pattern.
It might be around sooner rather than later as they are also currently on sale.
The Evo clearly makes more sense for your typical big boned SA marathoner. In fact for many something heavier and stronger makes even more sense but you have to start somewhere.
To me this iteration of the Epic is a rather simple and beautiful design. Looks like a lightweight #enduro shred machine. Now I wonder if 66.5 is as slack as the Evo will go? To me that is the sweet spot HTA for a bike like this, but looking at the latest 63 degree enduro bikes, perhaps the Evo could even go to 65.5.
The Epic seems to be the bread-and-butter model for Specialized (maybe Levo sales are catching up), I think/hope cheaper aluminium models will be along soon enough. Aluminium Evo's could sell really well if they are priced right.
I'm really happy with my Instinct and it's bad that Rocky Mountain didn't make it locally. When I was in British Columbia last year, Rocky Mountains was one of the most popular bikes around (obviously because they are based over there).
I’ve been really happy with Maxxis and can’t see myself buying something else soon. I run a Minion DHF on the front and a Aggressor at the rear. Both of them is 2.3’s but are far from fast rolling.
Thanks, it seems like a worthy upgrade but part of me is wondering if I shouldn't just save that money for the next bike.
About R 4k for the part (extras may vary depending on what else needs doing), and definitely worth the effort.
Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread...
How much does these Debonair and Charger 2/2.1 upgrades cost? I have a 140 mm 2014 non-boost Pike RCT3 and I'm wondering if it is worth it.
If we can’t comment on adverts can we at least get some proper technical content for all the armchair experts to disagree with? A few articles on geometry, chain wear (or stretch), suspension designs. etc. would be super.
If these articles were to be published on a Friday morning it would be even better.
TrailTech had something similar from OneUp.

CycleTouring also sells Volie straps.

Not really Bela-Bela but Lindani has some proper trails and is sort of in the area.
I don't think Calculus bikes does any actual local manufacturing, your best bet might be Mercer.
Edit:
As I was busy posting the other Mercer suggestions came through.
I can’t see any of those stage races (or any races) starting back up soon.
The demographic that would most likely buy these saddles might start opting for “game reserve fence patrolling” rides though. We love to hate “the dentists” of the world but they do little harm to the majority of us. It’s just a pity they don’t really buy bikes we would like to buy secondhand a few years later.
Of topic: if we still need to be wearing masks, then a stage race sounds like a less than fantastic idea.
I shudder at the idea of a highly contagious droplet spread virus combined with the impeccable hygiene usually present in race villages.
Corporate Bob doesn't always have enough money left after his concept store visits to upgrade his accommodation and has to slum it in camp.
I’m struggling to Install Zwift on my Macbook Pro, the installation runs into an error towards the end. Any advice? I’ll try again maybe over the weekend, it works on my iPad so no big rush.

I'm very happy with my OneUp EDC, you can either thread your steerer or put the tools in a pump. It's not the cheapest option but it's really good qaulity.

In addition to Specialized, Bontrager (Trek) and Granite Design also make similar units.

I've seen the Granite Design stuff at Outdoor Escape in Stellenbosch.
Giant also has quite a few options available for storage and Wolftooth is another option to look into.
