  1. My favourite is when these twats are yogging with their headphones on and look all dumbfounded when you meet them on the trail. Don’t ruin others’ fun just because you’re too poor to ride a bicycle.
  2. We've been lacking form for so long now, the last few matches is not really the yardstick to measure against, and neither is it a sign that we were peaking. It's the same thing come every WC tournament where we have this unrealistic expectation that we should win when we never even got the results leading up to the event. It's like we have battered wife syndrome with this team. Fortunately I've become emotionally disinvested in cricket a long time ago.
  3. More often I see people just blindly crossing the road, only to look left/right once realise there's something approaching - reacting all surprised when a car is charging onto them.
  4. Ag Henry, I love it when you spiek foreign.
  5. Their bikes certainly appeal more to me lately, but to me, they're a like Scott. They still persist with proprietary nonsense like their thru shaft reactiv shocks, knock block. At least they got the down tube twat box now, which is way better than that stupid hidden shocks that Scott employs. They just need to sort out their seat tubes - actual angels are way too slack due to that kink, and too short to run a decent length dropper. Their alloy fuel ex frames are pretty sexy though.
  6. Just like cycling fitness, partying and drinking requires training too to stay ahead. Otherwise you’ll just crash and burn like a nun that walked into woodstock.
  7. About 15% less than what bikemarket et al would sell it for.
  8. I’ve got to admit, I only watch on or two of the runs from the highlights. Tried sitting down to watch rampage once, I’d rather watch a game of baseball. There’s just no excitement for me no matter how gnarly the actual action is.
  9. Can't do barspins with a dual crown.
  10. Don't worry. It's a shock even for the non-troglodytes.
  11. I'd rather deal with an online shop with limited options listed that are in stock/available, than one that lists every possible version, but nothing is in stock. Don't even want to mention bike-addict, but Evobikes ain't far off anymore.
  12. dafuq, that STA looks like it's close to 90deg, it's probably sitting at 1 O'clock when sagged.
  13. Why does this forum not have a group buy/import thread? Done this so many times on other forums in the past. So many times I need just one item at around R400, but then have to load a cart to R4000 just to make the shipping/clearing fees worthwhile.
  14. From what I gather, it's just a motorised compression switch with extra steps.
  15. Enjoying a bit of instrumental stuff lately. Nova Collective: Animals As Leader: Tatran:
  16. In my experience, it's your feet that swell. If the shoe is tightened too much, it leads to pain, or hot foot. So I would assume hot/warm weather exacerbate this effect. Also happened with new shoes I got. New ones had a ratchet strap over the middle, whilst the old pair had velcro straps.
  17. Check that your shoes aren't over tightened. Warmer weather now will probably increase swelling of your feet.
  18. Weird flex, but okay. If riding endless boring gravel roads is your thing. Not exactly a pioneer if you bought your first gravel bike from one of the mainstream manufacturers.
  19. Paste wax should also work well. Cures hard, doesn't attract dust. Surfaces stay smooth.
  20. You trust a fart after a good vindaloo?
  21. Wow, same repair job has the same crack and they have the cheek to call you out on the seat post. Real class and great backup service...NOT. Never liked the brand. And who on earth thought Mompsen is a cool name?
  22. Damn kids still snorting bath salt.
  23. I've also asked these questions before. I don't mind comments, but I struggle to understand the need/mentality for self-appointed hub-police to patrol the classifieds. Why would anyone devote their time and energy to it? If you're browsing/looking for something, why would you concern yourself with frivolous **** that doesn't even concern you?
  24. I guess it depends on the individual and what you consider as colloquialism - I'd have laughed it off. Cheeky lowball offers deserve cheeky comebacks - no need to take offense. If he responded with GFY, well then it would've been considered rude.
  25. Jonkershoek is the obvious place to go to, and Tokai of course. Paarl Taalmonument DH track is lekker if you've got someone who can shuttle you. Nice thing about the trails is that you can mix it up the whole time, so every run will not be the same. Helderberg trails are also sweet, perhaps a bit short for all the climbing involved. Delvera estate (Dirtopia) had a few nice trails as well (although I haven't been there in ages), other side of the R44 on Muratie's side is mostly just flowy trails. Boschendal and the rest of the trails in that valley are mostly flow trails, but still fun. Flowy berms and a few jumps and drops. A few Enduro events took place at Wellington's Wild Boar trails which are more natural old school trails (i.e little to no features), also haven't been there in ages, so not sure if anything has changed.
