  1. I'm not always for over forking a bicycle as you mentioned, it slackens ALL the angles. While a slacker HT will not necessarily translate into a bad climber, it's the accompanied slackened STA that also shifts more weight over the rear wheel. The Following has a very slack actual STA, and if you have longer legs, it will result in all that weight being over the rear wheel. Personally, I think the slack HTA thing is a myth perpetuated by the XC crowd, which many of them still hold on to even though modern XC bikes are adopting the newer trends. My perspective on geo (relating more to climbing) is that there should be a relationship between fork travel, HTA, STA and reach. The further out the front wheel is due to either HTA, travel or both, the steeper the STA angle ought to be. Steeper STA shortens the effective top tube length, thus requiring more reach (i.e. longer wheelbase), so for XC race bikes etc it's not necessarily the answer, unless one goes back to longer stems.
  2. @1.73, that would be the ideal numbers for me too. Perhaps a slightly slacker STA of 75.5 for a longer horizontal top tube length, ideally around 610 mm. Low stack height and short uninterrupted seat tubes are way underrated for short people, which goes a long way to improve front wheel grip.
  3. Please no 90's revival. You'll give the hipsters new ideas. Can't have this again; or
  4. That stuff was like porn for one of my ex gfs. Yes, she was crazy.
  5. You’re mistaken. Found her latest pic,
  6. R100k might be excessive depending on what it includes. But if you ask your local timber supplier for pricing on solid wood, you’d quickly realize it doesn’t come cheap. You can work on cost of materials plus that sum times 2 for labour. That’s what kitchen cupboard installers charge for something a bit more complicated than building lego.
  7. Probably more to do with the owner's preferences. They're about 4 generations away from the wild cat hybrids, so they're basically like normal domesticated cats with some wild cat traits. I think Savannah cats are probably more sensitive with regards to their diets, as the hybridized breed itself has some complications at the various breeding generations.
  8. Their diets are like normal cats. Royal Canin and pouchie food (aka cat cocaine)
  9. Not my dog, but I got her for my dad. She's such cutie. We go visit her more than the parents. And then my own boy. Benji. He's a bengal, Although I'm not really a cat person and also allergic to them, the bengals are a bit different.
  10. Everyone is out there spending all that profit from their initial R100 BTC investment.
  11. Where’s this?
  12. Urgh. That’s sad. Going there as well for the holidays. Hopefully the full loop of Harkerville is open now, and Homtini is also unscathed.
  13. Pretty spot on. I went for this setup over the Rancillio as I’d rather get a better setup later on and this one doesn’t seem to lack much compared the Rancillio.
  14. Somewhere on this here forum I posted a link about the gold chains. They’re merely “dipped” during the coating process and none of the nitride makes its way in between the rollers/pins where the coating ought to be to make any difference. So yes, pure vanity.
  15. I hope this is a sign of thing to come, perhaps the new Jeffsy will get similar treatment.
  16. So you're going to leave us guessing which shop this was?
  17. Why, are you bikecurious now?
  18. *our Grate Lord
  19. `n Bietjie oefening help natuurlik. Maar dis hoofsaaklik squats in die gym wat mens so honger maak. Cheese is proof that someone out there wants us to be happy.
  20. I don’t eat low fat anything. Double cream from Lancewood or Darling.
  21. I'm already going to vegan hell. Lots of dairy (6L of milk + 3 kg of yogurt a week + cheese), meat twice a day, 2+ eggs/day, and plenty of avos and about 1 kg of almonds a month.
  22. Never heard of sneezewood. Had to google it. If going light colored, a personal favorite is wild olive for me which should look nice on a handle given the grain and waviness of it.
  23. Enony or black. Panga is nice, but if I go that direction it’ll be wenge rather.
