I also won't do it without walking the obstacle first.I stay in a cul-de-sac.The storm water drain sits near the entrance.We had a burst water pipe that flooded the road overnight.When I left in the morning to drop the kids at school I was apprehensive but went through cautiously and steadily, the water went over halfway up the 20" rims on the car.A quick google told me the wading depth of the wifes Q5 was pretty much the same as the XC60 I was in, so I called her and let her know it would be ok. We literally had 20 mins to get our stuff and across or we would be stuck for a good few days.I ended up crossing the low water brigde, in a Nissan 1400, with water coming up and over the bonnet, washing into the cab through the open window.
