Snow Curling off a Metal Roof on Bear Mountain in New Hampshire.
The roof is doing what it was designed to do, (shed the snow load weight) This is called a cool roof system. Metal panels, proper ventilation and insulation keep the roof cold, therefore the snow won’t melt, freeze and melt, which will cause massive ice jams and backwater entering the building.
On the cold Metal Roof gravity does it’s thing
