Dont under estimate the effect of a backpack with a few kg of clothing in it.

Decided to bring the bike in on a friday, leave a change of clothing at the office, cycle home friday evening and back on saturday morning.

Felt like I had been using an inhaler all of a sudden.

I takes a ride or two to get used to it but then life is normal again.  Whenever I have to drag my laptop to and from work it feels like I am carrying a bag of sement but by the second ride it is all cool. Even cooler when you all of a sudden do not have to carry the laptop again.

When I read this I absolutely agreed with the sentiment. However, my cursor was strategically placed on the screen, covering the "t" at the end of the word "sement".

Bit of an overshare? Ahem...

Anyone in CT cycling north westerly this afternoon? I’m in the same boat as you. Good luck to us all.

The sideways gusts made it dangerous enough that I stayed away from main road this afternoon, but at least I got home before the rain started

I was cycling towards the South. Beautiful tailwind all the way and got caught up in the storm. What a fun commute. Now to clean my bike...

My 30min ride took 40min into the stormy NW & rains. Was less fun than you might imagine... But at least I didn't take the wuss option of phoning my wife to come fetch me from work...

This should be added to the commuting rule book. Rule #... Don't be a wuss and call the wife.

wife sent me a message 30 minutes before I was finishing work today, asking if I’d be ok to ride home in the heat.

I rode. I was drenched when I got home. Man it was hot.
